Macaron
I made macarons with walnuts for the first time today and surprisingly they didn't fail. Mixing it was a little bit of a hassle because I had to get it to the perfect consistency. But I did it and they turned out great. I made simple buttercream to put in between the two cookies but it was too sweet. So after making all that icing I used mousseline buttercream, thanks to Monica my great friend that made it. I left the mousseline buttercream white and piped it on one cookie and put another one on top. They looked good and tasted even better!

Photo Challenge: Chocolate Éclair

Below is the picture I grabbed out of the
mystery muffin batter bucket. We were
to mimic the photo and guess what it
was made of. I was lucky enough to
understand what "Pate A Choux" was
and so I assumed it was some sort of
éclair.
Above was my imitation of the photo! They similar but also very different... Unfortunately it did not taste good at all; next time I would add much more sugar and add less/no cocoa into the choux paste.

Photo challenge
Around 2 weeks ago we had a photo challenge and the bakeshop had to attempt to create there own version of the dish they chose. I had to make a mini St. honere'e and decided to add a twist by adding coffee beans and it ended up tasting amazing and taught me something new. Overall it was a great experience.

I’m going to write about my Charlotte because it looked pretty and tasted good. I liked making it because I could change the topping on it because it was supposed to be Raspberries but I did Strawberries and that made it my favorite thing to bake. I still enjoy to bake cookies and cheesecakes too. But this was a lot of fun and it turned out which that made me happy. I took some it home and my siblings and my dad have not tried it yet but my brother won’t even touch it because I baked it but my mom tried it and she said it wasn’t her favorite.

VIP Plated Dessert Event
We recently did a VIP plated dessert event. All the baking students made a different plated dessert and we all tried then. Then we voted on which plated dessert we wanted to use for the event. The dessert we decided to use was a lemon tart with raspberry and kiwi coulee to dot around the plate. After we added blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Mint leaves were added in the end, and only a couple of plates got beautiful edible flowers that we grew in the bake shop. It tasted very delicious and looked beautiful and everyone enjoyed it.

Yesterday in the bakeshop we had a black box challenge and our mystery ingredients were corn and apple. After a lot if thinking I came up with the idea to make a corn muffin with an apple filling, and with great surprise it tasted quite amazing.

I’m going to wright about my rainbow cupcakes because they were so good. They were one of my favorite things to make because I love cupcakes. I’ve got more than one favorite cupcake and they are the rainbow ones and banana chocolate chip cupcakes. I also like the plain vanilla cupcakes because you can decorate them with anything and that is so much fun. I love the way I did the icing and the sprinkles because they made it look good and taste good because cupcakes are easy to make and it is so much fun making them.
